Stephanie and Thiagu got married on a very hot day a few weeks ago. The two of them have been together for 5 years and easily handled a 2 year long-distance relationship between Switzerland and India.
The ceremony took place in the beautiful Standesamt Pfäffikon which is located in a little castle. After that they had organised a relaxed Summer Apero outside their house in Schübelbach and in the evening, the “Nachtessen” dinner and party took place in the cute barn Blindenhof in Tuggen.
There were several highlights during their wedding celebration, starting with Thiagu’s parents in India congratulating the couple and chatting with the bride’s mother via Skype, the traditional bell ringing, the touching speech from the bride’s mother or the spontaneous performance of friends that sung passionately a Russian wedding song. The guests came from all over the world and got on very well with each other.
My personal highlight though was their first dance. I have been to many weddings but I have never seen anything like it: The couple danced and the wedding guests threw paper streamers on them. Many paper streamers. A lot paper streamers. But the couple had so much fun and I really really did enjoy watching them.
Steffi & Thiagu, thank you so much for having me at your wedding. It was a pleasure to capture it and to celebrate with you. I wish you much love, fun and good times for your married life.
