I was very excited to photograph Ingrid & Peter’s wedding. Not only do I know Ingrid from my studies, they also had their wedding celebration in the beautiful Orbansaal that is located right next to the student accommodation where I used to live in my last semester studying!
But from the beginning… Ingrid and Peter got married in the famous grand Asamkirche right in the center of Ingolstadt. Ingrid looked absolutely stunning with her beautiful white dress and sparkling green eyes, walking down the aisle with her father. The ceremony was very personal and friends played “I can’t help falling in love” by UB40 on a guitar and clarinet.
Afterwards there was an Apero held in the garden next to the Orbansaal. The couple even organized an ice cream van that fitted perfectly as it was a very hot summer day. The guests could have cold drinks and cakes and enjoyed the beautiful day on little beach chairs. So they didn’t mind too much that the couple and I went for a long portrait session…
The evening and night continued with delicious food, emotional speeches, fun (!) games and a self-made video from the couple’s friends about how they met – which was brilliant.
And of course, there was a lot of dancing to songs from a very cool wedding band called Men Under Cover. Some guests told me at breakfast next morning that the party continued until the early hours…. All in all a felicitous wedding celebration.
Ingrid & Peter, I wish you a very happy life together with many more occasions where you can do your happy dance together!
