Debora & Lukas’ wedding was just amazing. From start to finish. Fist of all, the two of them are super nice and cute people with very good taste. There was so much to photograph: the bride and groom who both looked exceptionally pretty, all of the beautiful decorations, the stunning wedding venues and a lot of emotions.
The couple decided to see each other first BEFORE the ceremony. The so called “First Look” took place next to the river Aare at the ceremony venue where they could enjoy a little bit time for themselves until the official wedding celebrations kicked off. The ceremony in the garden of the Zehendermätteli was just beautiful and very personal: the wedding guests learned a lot about the couple’s story and were listening to self-written vows that led to quite a few tears amongst the guests.
New for me to see: they had little paper boats, in which every guest could write their wishes for the couple and which were put into the Aare later. That was very fitting because both love the river and spend quite a lot time there in the summer.
After the apero on the terrace of the Zehendermätteli, the couple and their guests headed to Thun, to the restaurant Zündkapsel-Fabrik which is – surprise, surprise – also located directly at the river. I really enjoyed being there as the view onto the river was breathtaking and the venue itself is just ideal for an exclusive event like a wedding. My compliments at this point to the decoration artist Festum Artis who truly did a good job transforming this cool place into a romantic vintage venue and to DJ Tom who contributed with his music to this special atmosphere.
There were a lot of sweet and personal presentations from family and friends for the couple during the evening that was very nice to see and listen to. And of course, it is a big honour for me when I am seated amongst the wedding guests even though I am just the wedding photographer. I am blessed to have a “job” in such a positive environment where people are happy and cheerful with each other.
