Andy & Maggie got married in one of my favourites cities – Prague. It was very international as Andy is from Wales and Maggie is Czech. The couple invited their guests already as of Friday and took them on a night boat trip on the river Vltava/Moldau where the party weekend began. The ceremony and reception the next day took place on a little island, called Zofin, where they celebrated in a Garden marquee that was very romantic. Since both are passionate dancers, who met years ago at a Salsa evening, it was just natural that a large part of this wedding took place on the dancefloor. I loved it – hardly anybody remained sat on their chair.
Definite highlights were a professional Salsa couple who joined them and taught the wedding guests their latest dance moves. Or the plates smashing – that came all of a sudden when nobody expected it – well … at least not the British as it is a Slovakian tradition. Or going on the horse & carriage through the city centre to the Charles Bridge which I think will be one of my favourite memories.
